It looks like there's a new selfie pro in town.

Actress Ellen Pompeo proved over the weekend that she's not too shy to do a little solo photo shoot from time to time, thereby becoming one of the newest additions to #selfienation.

The Grey's Anatomy star posted an Instagram photo on Sunday with the simple caption, "#selfiesunday."

But it's not just any selfie—Pompeo showed some serious skills here.

Let's discuss.

For one, the celeb either used a super-cool app or attempted to ditch the extremely convenient front-facing camera so that she could avoid the annoying grainy texture of the photo without doing the usual mirror pic (which is another plus) by blindly aiming and attempting to get the perfect angle.

(And with a body of water behind her, that's extra dangerous, should the phone slip from her fingertips.)

Secondly, the star got the perfect amount of lighting, and used the pool water in the background to bring out her eyes. We doubt that was done on purpose, but it works.

And last, but certainly not least, she went for the kill by coyly biting her lip.
