UPDATE: A Jackson family source tells E! News that Paris "attempted suicide this morning. She's been dealing with depression."
Debbie Rowe, who has been spending time with her daughter recently, first confirmed the news to Entertainment Tonight.
Rowe's attorney tells E! News, "We appreciate everyone's thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family's privacy."
Paris Jackson was rushed to a hospital early Wednesday morning after a possible overdose, E! News has confirmed.
According to the LAPD, the teenager was taken out of her Calabasas family home on a stretcher at approximately 1:30 a.m. and taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance.
The police responded to the scene after receiving a phone call that someone had overdosed. Just yesterday, Michael Jackson's daughter posted some rather cryptic tweets.
"I wonder why tears are salty?" she posted.
About an hour later she wrote, "yesterday ,all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as through they're here to stay."
A lawyer for Katherine Jackson, Paris' grandmother, told the NY Daily News,"She's suffered with the loss of her father. But we don't know what she was exposed to that precipitated this."
