Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) has come a long way from her powersuits in season one.

In the beginning of the Sex and the City series, the sassy lawyer's signature look was all business. Even at after-hour drinks with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Miranda was often clad in office appropriate duds such as black blazers and button-up shirts.

Although her weekend wear was less professional and sometimes included printed sheaths, her character was still always the most conservative out of the group.

But the redhead—who once wore jean overalls, a puff jacket and sneakers—most noticeable style shift occurred after she becoming a mom to son, Brady, in season five.

Her severe crop cut grew out to a more feminine chin length and her fashion softened up thanks to breezy blouses and dresses. She also took a dive into a more lush color palette of plums, greens and blues. And despite the no frills motto her character still seemed to follow, large waist belts and chandelier earrings become her signature accessories.
