Angelina Jolie couldn't be more thankful to those who've lent her their steadfast support in the wake of her preventive double mastectomy.

The mother of six made her first red-carpet appearance post-surgery at the premiere of fiancé Brad Pitt's new movie World War Z Sunday in London, where she opened up to reporters about her recovery.

"I feel great, I feel wonderful, and I'm very, very grateful for all the support," she said. "It's meant a lot to me."

The 37-year-old Oscar winner added that she was elated to see how her odyssey has spurred an engaged conversation about women's health issues.

"I've been very happy just to see the discussion about women's health expanded, and that means the world to me," she explained. "And after losing my mom to these issues, I am very grateful for it. And I've been very moved by the support of people."

Jolie also paid tribute to Pitt, who's been unwavering in his support for his "heroic" ladylove.

"He's been extraordinary," she said. "He's such a wonderful man and a wonderful father, and I'm very, very lucky."

Pitt, meanwhile, couldn't help but praise Jolie, exclusively opening up to E! News about his fiancée's strength and resolve.

"That's who I fell in love with from the very beginning," he told us. "The person that you see now is the person that I've always known, and she's heroic and incredibly strong and will attack any problem head-on and make it work."
