American Idol's first married couple admits to an emotional ceremony

American Idol's first official couple Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young tied the knot at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles Saturday afternoon and it was an emotional day for the couple.

In front of 250 guests, including fellow Idol alums Elliot Yamin,Michael Johns and Kevin Covais, the couple made it official saying "I do" but it wasn't without a few tears here and there.

Diana tells E! News her brother's attendance was extremely touching to her, because he returned from Afghanistan to walk her down the aisle. 

"It took every ounce of strength I had not to burst into tears," she said of first seeing her brother. And the emotional highs just kept rising.

"When we turned the corner and I saw Ace at the altar it was beautiful," Diana shared.

And the groom was just as emotional, adding, "I was crying before I even saw Diana walk around the corner."
