Hot water, indeed.

Comedian Dane Cook is receiving negative feedback after taking part in last night's star-studded Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Cook performed a new set at the event and infuriated fans when he wouldn't allow his part to be included in the free livestream.

He explained his controversial decision on Twitter, saying, " Hey everyone sorry my set was not a part of the live stream or televised! I didn't want any of the new material to hit the airwaves yet!"

But Cook's justification still didn't sit well with many.

What do you think about Cook's decision to withhold his comedy routine? Weigh in below.
