American Idol's judging table is once again looking for new occupants!
With Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson all officially announcing their exits from the Fox reality series (and Keith Urban expected to announce his departure as well), season 13 will see yet another new team of judges, with sources confirming to E! News that American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson will fill one of the seats and producers are courting other former contestants to join her.
But before we officially meet the new dream team, let's look back on all of American Idol's judging panels and decide which one was truly the best. Welcome to Thunderdome, American Idol Judges-style!
From season one to season seven, Idol's original judges Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul manned the Coke-topped table, with the first major change coming in season eight when Kara DioGuardi became the fourth judge.
After Abdul left the series after season eight, Ellen DeGeneres took her seat in season nine, but only stayed for one season, departing along with Cowell and DioGuardi prior to season 10.
Superstars Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler joined Jackson for two seasons, with Minaj, Carey and Urban replacing them at the table for season 12. And we all know how that one ended!
