Amanda Bynes' attorney is speaking out in defense of the troubled star.

"Amanda is a normal client," Richard Hutton tells E! News. "I've seen no indication of anything other than that. She is fully cooperating with me."

Earlier this month, Hutton appeared in a Burbank, Calif., court and pleaded no contest on Bynes' behalf in connection with a charge of driving with a suspended license. The judge sentenced the former Nickelodeon actress to three years of summary probation and also ordered her to pay a fine of $1,400.

"We are attempting to resolve her DUI case in Beverly Hills," Hutton said in reference to one his client's other legal woes.

As for Bynes' recent arrest and being charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana, Hutton, who is not Bynes' attorney in New York, remarked: "It is my understanding that there is no physical evidence to connect her to any of the charges. And I believe the whole matter was blown out of proportion."

We'll hopefully know more soon as Bynes is due back in court on July 9.
