Matthew Perry opened up to ABC News about a secret he had throughout filming the hit show Friends: his addiction problems.

"Mostly it was drinking, you know, and opiates," he revealed. "I think I was pretty good at hiding it but, you know, eventually people were aware."

Perry added, "I was a sick guy."

But once the 43-year-old got a handle on his own sobriety, he joined forces with addiction specialist Earl Hightower to open a sober living home for men called Perry House. Perry and Hightower were awarded earlier this month at the White House with the Champion of Recovery award.

"We're award-winning alcoholics," the actor joked.

And while Perry is working on helping others achieve sobriety, he's also been focused on the recent rumors surrounding a possible Friends reunion.

"I don't think so," he said. "It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good. If we did a movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it."

So maybe a reunion isn't in the cards but will the cast mates all be in attendance for Jennifer Aniston's upcoming nuptials?

"I would assume I'll be there," he coyly admitted.
