The 35-year-old singer announced on his Facebook page on Tuesday that he is hard at work on his sixth studio album. The post also mentioned Mayer's plans to put up weekly behind-the-scenes videos.
The first clip doesn't offer too much—Mayer plugging into an amp, checking out some pedals and playing his guitar a bit—but it's still pretty cool nevertheless.
Mayer returned to performing back in January after being sidelined for 10 months to treat a nagging granuloma on his vocal cords.
He begins a summer tour in July with American Idol winner Phillip Phillips serving as his opening act.
