Larry King is proving once and for all that the Cold War is history.

The former CNN star has signed on to host a political talk show on the English-language channel of Russian Television.

"I have always been passionate about government and issues that impact the public, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to talk politics with some of the most influential people in Washington and around the country," the 79-year-old King said in a statement.

An icon of both radio and television, the veteran broadcaster hosted his CNN namesake, Larry King Live for 25 years until his retirement in 2010.

King's new program, Politics With Larry King, will talk politics with various establishment leaders in Washington as well as alternative voices and will debut on RT in June as well as stream online at RT.com. The network will also air his current show, Larry King Now, which streams on Hulu and Ora.Tv.

"I appreciate the importance of providing a platform to those with real alternative visions for our country's future," said King.

And best of all, he'll continue to wear his trademark suspenders.
