Runner-up Jessica Sanchez found herself the beneficiary of a hilarious quip by the commander in chief Tuesday night at the Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration at the White House when Obama let fly a cheeky zinger about the camaraderie that was on full display in the room.
And, apparently, that camaraderie was evident on his collar.
"I wanna thank everybody who's here, the incredible warmth of the reception," Obama said, before adding, "A sign of the warmth is the lipstick on my collar."
As the audience burst into laughter, the president deadpanned, "I have to say, I think I know the culprit. Where's Jessica Sanchez?"
The POTUS then quickly backtracked. "Jessica—it wasn't Jessica. It was her aunt. Where is she? Auntie, right there," he said, searching the room before eventually zeroing in on her.
"Look at this, look at this," Obama chastised, pointing to his lipstick-smeared collar.
Apparently, the prez was worried about more than just getting that lip-smacking stain out.
"I just want everybody to witness. I do not want to be in trouble with Michelle," he joked. "That's why I'm calling you out right in front of everybody."
