Carole Middleton may be the future grandmother of a British monarch, but to locals from her village Kate Middleton's mom has earned another beloved title: neighborhood hero.

The 58-year-old is being lauded for finding a neighbor's lost dog and returning it to its understandably worried owner.

Per The Telegraph, Prince William's mother-in-law was driving her car in Berkshire, England, when she came across the pooch on the side of the road.

Turns out, the wayward canine belonged to royal portrait painter Basia Hamilton, who was eventually reunited with her dog after the pet "disappeared and we didn't know where it could be."

"[Carole] got out and, when she saw from the collar that it was ours, brought it home," Hamilton tells the paper. "She is very kind."

Kate's mum may also be the messenger of another kind of good news: The paper reports that Carole has puportedly revealed to friends that Will and Kate's child will be born under the Leo sign.

Should that hold true, the revelation puts a wrench in speculation that the royal baby will be born either on July 13 or 14, since those who carry the Leo sign are have birthdays between July 24 and Aug. 3.

A future ruler of England bearing the sign of the king of all creatures? Can't get more regal than that.
