Oklahoma-native Blake Shelton will not be sitting idly by while his home state deals with the aftermath of tornado devastation.

The Voice coach and NBC are teaming up to air a benefit concert live from Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City next Wednesday, May 29 at 9 p.m. Profits from Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert will go towards the United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund.

"Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy," Shelton said in a statement. "This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."

Scheduled to perform along with Shelton are his wife Miranda Lambert as well as Vince Gill, Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire. Also joining the show will be Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts and Ryan Tedder of One Republic.

Shelton and Lambert performed a stripped-down version of her song "Over You" on The Voice Tuesday night as a tribute to the victims of the tornado.

"We decided to do a song we actually wrote in Oklahoma that's about my family...and it just made perfect sense to do that particular song," Shelton told us exclusively backstage. "We're just trying to raise as much awareness to the fact that there's still suffering and hurting back there and hopefully [viewers] picked up the phone and made a donation to the Red Cross."

The benefit concert is scheduled to air across many NBC networks, including E!

To donate 10 dollars to the Red Cross, text STORM to 80888.

(E! Online and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
