Kent Eanes/NBCJust heard from reliable inside sources that 30 Rock, starring, of course, girl genius Tina Fey as Liz Lemon and the utterly brilliant Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy, was picked up for a full 22-episode third season.
Boo-freaking-yah!
Surprising? No. But still, exxccccellent news. NBC declined to comment, but my sources are rock solid on this news.
Though the ratings aren't exactly Idol-like, the fandemonium has spread like wildfire for this series, along with awards accolades galore. And it doesn't hurt that NBC chief honcho Ben Silverman loves this show with every fiber of his being.
30 Rock returns to NBC for the rest of its second season next Thursday, April 10.
