Revenge's Nick Wechsler and Christa B. Allen Sound Off on Declan's "Awful" Death, Tease Season 3

Exclusive! "We're going to hang, like we've hung out a few times since. It's awful. I miss him," Wechsler tells us of Connor Paolo's exit from the ABC hit

Revenge's season-two finale dealt a devastating blow to our favorite Hamptonites and the viewers when Jack's (Nick Wechsler) little brother and Charlotte's (Christa B. Allen) boyfriend (and baby daddy!) died due to injuries he sustained in the Grayson Global bombing.

We chatted with Wechsler and Allen about Paolo's "sad" exit from the show and how Charlotte will cope with Declan's death. Plus, Wechsler teases Jack's reaction to Emily's (Emily VanCamp) bombshell finale reveal!

"I'm still sad! He's a really good friend of mine in life and we were partners on the show. Anything we did, we did together, so it was a big blow," Allen says of Paolo's character being killed off the ABC sudser. "But these are the things that have to happen, I guess. I don't know why they have to happen! I still don't understand."

Wechsler adds, "I was texting with him earlier today. We're going to hang, like we've hung out a few times since. It's awful. I miss him and I'm going to miss him...it's not really going to hit until we're working and he's not there. We're all bummed."

And Allen admits she's a little less excited over Charlotte's pregnancy after Declan's death. "Initially that would be something that would be really exciting, but now her baby daddy is dead," she explains. "I think the biggest point with her pregnancy is going to be how other characters take it; how Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) deals with it and I hope it's in a positive way because Victoria doesn't have a good track record of dealing with children, and then I don't know how it's going to effect Charlotte and Emily's relationship. It's going to be a weird dynamic, but I think there's going to be a lot going on there."

Declan's death wasn't the only major storyline Jack found himself wrapped up in during the finale, as Emily finally revealed to her childhood love that she is actually Amanda Clarke in the final scene, leaving fans to wonder about Jack's reaction all summer.

"You could make an argument that we could have waited even longer to dole that piece of information out, but I'm excited to see what that does to their relationship and just to the show because things cannot be the same now," Wechsler previews. "You're going to want to milk it for as much drama as you can, so he's probably not going to be on her side instantly, but I wouldn't be surprised if he comes around later. Too many bad things have happened in his life because of stuff she wasn't being honest about."
