Ladies, rejoice: Chris Pine is single.
Funnylady Ellen DeGeneres cleared up the Star Trek star's relationship status when the hunky actor appeared on her talk show Wednesday, where the twosome also discussed what Pine looks for in a woman as well as the popular franchise's fan base nickname (warning: This interview will only make you love Chris Pine more.).
"Intelligence, beauty and a sense of humor," Pine muses over the qualities he looks for in a potential partner.
"You started with intelligence; that's not normal at all," the comedian quips.
"Well, I think you have to be able to carry on a conversation, after the initial attraction, after the lust dies down; there has to be the thing that engages you," he explains. "And that is intelligence and humor."
"See, this is why we love you," Ellen responds as the audience erupts into applause (and we totally agree!).
Pine continues, revealing his hilarious fan-made moniker.
"My fans have designated themselves the, uh, Pine Nuts," the actor says with an adorably embarrassed expression.
"They're a nutty bunch," he added.
Oh, we bet they are.
