In the season eight finale of How I Met Your Mother, we got one of the biggest (if not the biggest) reveal in HIMYM history: the face (and the actress) who will become Ted's (Josh Radnor) wife!
Broadway star and Tony-nominated actress Cristin Milioti appeared in the last shot of the finale, yellow umbrella and all, presumably on her way to play in the band at Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin's (Cobie Smulders) wedding.
It makes sense that the HIMYM bosses chose Milloti, who just wrapped up her run as "Girl" in the musical Once, because we all know that Ted's future wife is very musically-inclined. Unless this is some kind of cruel red herring, then we just laid eyes on the infamous mother.
