The joint has squeezed the Juice—at least by all outward appearances.

O.J. Simpson appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom Monday to ask a judge to grant him a new trial in the 2008 armed robbery and kidnapping case that put him away for 33 years.

Appearing in court shackled and wearing his blue jail uniform, the 65-year-old former football star looks a bit heavier after spending five years in prison.

Not only does Simpson now sport a full head of gray, but his face looks noticeably fuller.

It's a far cry from the sharply dressed defendant who was acquitted for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

Per published reports, Simpson is scheduled to testify on Wednesday that his former lawyer, Yale Galanter, had a conflict of interest while representing him in the robbery case. As a result, he and his new legal team say he's entitled to a new trial.

As it stands now, O.J. won't be eligible for parole until 2017.
