The procedural drama Criminal Minds has been picked up for a ninth season, the network announced today via its Twitter.
"#CBS welcomes back #CriminalMinds for its 9th season. Series renewed for 2013/14."
The tweet was almost lost in a sea of info about Parks and Rec being renewed, Vampire Diaries boss Julie Plec getting another series ordered on CW, and other good news we have been celebrating today.
Deadline is reporting that castmembers Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, Shemar Moore, Kirsten Vangsness and A.J. Cook have all signed new two-year deals.
