Farrah Abraham figured she had no choice once word got out that she was in a sex tape with porn actor James Deen: It was either sell or be sold out.
"I would've just been exploited," the former Teen Mom star told E! News of her decision to cut a deal with adult-film producer Vivid Entertainment to distribute the video after Deen broke the news of its existence.
"I [wanted] to put the ball in my court rather than let somebody else do what they want," Abraham said.
"Really, I'm not that sexually active," she added, reiterating what she tweeted this week about her encounter with Deen being "the one time [she had] sex in the past year."
And though she said that she was "happy with the seven figure settlement" she scored from Vivid and was looking forward to finishing her master's degree, the 21-year-old single mom still sounded worn out from the ordeal.
"The part that I was just extremely unhappy with was, you know, James Deen," she said of her costar in what's heading to stores May 14 as Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom. "I'm experiencing him as a real, normal person and there's been so many different reports of what he was saying. But I personally texted him and said, 'You know, why are you talking about my business? What makes you think that that was OK when you know that that should remain private?'"
Deen didn't apologize and basically told her that she shouldn't have been mad, Abraham told us.
"When you're upset with somebody who you were, you know, close with and physical with, you don't want then taking things into their own light and just being selfish—and that's what he did," she said. "And I personally cannot trust anyone now, so who knows if I'll ever have a relationship, because I don't trust people."
After hearing that her opinion of him (and his manhood) wasn't worth much, Deen told E! News last month, "I am sorry she has such a bad opinion of me and hopefully when the video is released she will change her mind and be proud of the movie we made."
