We have to admit we're still buzzing about the glamorous gowns, exciting celeb moments and fabulous beauty looks we spotted on the Met Gala red carpet this past Monday night.

And who better to gab with then a few of our favorite fashionistas who soaked up every second of the extravagant affair?

E's own Giuliana Rancic and Alicia Quarles sat down with designer Rachel Roy and Marie Claire senior fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi for a roundtable discussion that recapped the highlights of the night.

Roy, who accompanied Stacy Keibler at the event, explained the invitation process from a designer's standpoint. "Vogue pairs you with a celebrity to go with, and you show your sketches to cultivate a look that goes with the theme."

And speaking of Vogue, Quarles couldn't contain her excitement when Anna Wintour walked right over to her on the red carpet for a highly anticipated interview that had other reporters eyeing her with envy.

Last but not least, the girls were in agreement that Madonna was major moment of the evening, as well. "This is her era, this is her world. Nobody walks the carpet like Madonna!" Quarles gushed.
