Sienna Miller got punked-out from head to perfectly pedicured toe at Monday's Met Gala.

The star accessorized her white Burberry dress and spike-adorned leather jacket with a spiky headband. But the actress didn't stop there. She wore spikes on her fingertips too!

"The inspiration came from her Burberry jacket. She wanted something nobody else would do," celeb manicurist Deborah Lippmann, who created the punked-out paint job, explains to E! News. "The studs that I used were so small that she and I were actually working together to place them on each nail. We had a whole system. She was very hands-on in helping to apply the studs, making sure each was applied in exactly the right spot."

To ensure the star could actually hold hands with date beau Tom Sturridge, the spikes weren't pointy and more like cone-shaped studs.

The stars thorny manicure wasn't her only special effect. "The final touch was a silver skull on her right big toe," says Lippmann.

Spiked mani and skull pedi? It's official: when it comes to the best rocker-chic nail art at the Met, Sienna wins hands down.
