Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are reuniting to work out what's best for his and Brooke Mueller's 3-year-old twins Max and Bob.

The exes were spotted together at an L.A. area court earlier today, where they met about Richards being granted temporary custody of the two young kids while their mother is currently being treated for addiction to prescription drugs.

Richards sported a black skirt, black jacket and white top for the court meeting, while Sheen was snapped smoking a cigarette and wearing a dark suit and blue tie. Both were in sunglasses.

As for what went down during the duo's legal meeting, Sheen's attorney Mark Gross tells E! News that the judge issued an order stating that none of the parties involved or their lawyers could comment on the case.

As we told you yesterday, Mueller is currently checked into UCLA Medical Center and will most likely transition "directly into a residential treatment facility to get help for prescription drug abuse," according to her rep.

"Brooke misses her children and wants to get healthy so she can resume her life and get back to being a mom," her rep said.

Last week a source confirmed to E! News that Richards had been granted temporary custody of the twins after they were taken from Mueller's care by Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
