This just in: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler may have retired from Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update anchor desk, but they might just be teaming up with another gonzo news anchor for a new film.

The duo were reportedly spotted on the set of the Will Ferrell-headlined Anchorman 2, instantly boosting the cache of a film that's already got moviegoers buzzing well ahead of its Dec. 20 release date. According to website OLV, the comedy pair—who last teamed up on the big screen in 2008 Baby Mama and cohosted the Golden Globes this past January—were seen shooting the film in Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta.

And a source tells E! News that Poehler was seen with the film's costars Paul Rudd and John C. Reilly at an Atlanta hotel yesterday, adding fuel to the speculation that she'll be in the film. Though so far, both the stars' camps and the filmmakers have remained mum.

Snaps from the set, however, only show the backs of two women, a blonde and a brunette, as they stand next to a red dune buggy.

The flick's cast already includes a blinding lineup of marquee-busting stars: Original castmembers Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate and Vince Vaughn are all set to return, while franchise newbies like Harrison Ford and Nicole Kidman up its profile even further.

And if this pic of Ferrell going mano-a-mano with a shark still doesn't whet your appetite for Anchorman 2, well, you've got us stumped.
