Often called the Oscars of the fashion world, the Met Ball is the most stylish night of the year. And Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour—who presides over The Met Gala—chose a theme this year that was certain to make the starlets sweat: "Punk: Chaos To Couture."

Some stars, like Kristen Stewart and Nicole Richie, did not disappoint, going full on disorderly with faux hawks and dreadful death makeup (though we admit we were a little disappointed that no one shaved at least part of her head).

Other celebrities embodied a different kind of anarchy and just completely ignored Ms. Wintour's punk theme. The likes of Uma Thurman and Miranda Kerr instead opted for old Hollywood glamour with sleek makeup and hair.

And some (cough, Miley Cyrus) went extreme with their punk beauty. And ended up with looks perfect for Halloween costumes! We've rounded up the good, the bad and the downright frightening from last night's Met Ball, take a look!
