"I want to say sorry and if Justin can hear me, I didn't mean to scare him. I'm a true Belieber," the guy said on the air.
This fellow obviously wanted to make Bieber's Monday a little better, but is he really the one who knocked over the piano that Bieber was sitting at in an attempt to get close to the headliner at Dubai's Sevens Stadium, resulting in his ejection from the venue?
Virgin Radio said that the man contacted them and did not give his name.
"It was just a fan aged between 13 to 14 years old [who] jumped on the stage trying to hug his idol and was stopped before reaching the singer," Tomas Ovesen, COO of concert organizer Done Events, told 7 Days in Dubai. "He was not in possession of anything and was deemed harmless."
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Abdo Gotni tells E! News that it is he who went onstage and made the radio apology—and he's upset by earlier reports that claimed Bieber was attacked during his show.
"I wanted to say hi and maybe take a picture. I wanted to hug him," Gotni said, adding that he didn't have a plan to rush the stage, he was "just very excited" in the moment. He also says that it was security guards who upset the piano.
"They dragged me offstage and just told me I needed to go home," he said. "They kicked me out of the concert and told me not to come back. They didn't ask me for my name or my ID."
