A mother's wish is about to become a reality.

Earl Spencer, the brother of Princess Diana, intends to close the museum at Althorp exhibiting his sister's belongings and hand the personal possessions over to Prince William and Prince Harry, The Telegraph reports.

Spencer says Diana's will stated that her belongings were to be "looked after" by him until her sons turned 30.

The museum is set to close in August 2014, and Prince Harry will be 30 next September.

The lot includes 28 of Diana's dresses, two tiaras and jewelry as well as pictures, letters and home movies.

There is speculation that the items could eventually go on display at Kensington Palace.
