Carey Mulligan must be flying high right about now.
First, the actress lands the May cover of Vogue magazine. Plus, The Great Gatsby is set to dominate box offices next week. Last but certainly not least, the star even earned the praises of Anna Wintour—not a small feat.
Not only did Vogue's editor-in-chief compliment the 27-year-old actress, but at last night's premiere of The Great Gatsby, she told E!'s own Jason Kennedy and Alicia Quarles that the Carey "has enormous style." Wintour went on to praise her acting in the film as "wonderful."
But Gatsby isn't the only thing on Wintour's mind—the Met Gala is just a few days away. And is the style icon all set for the year's most fashionable event? "The train has already left the station," she revealed. "There's not much more I can do now." With Anna at the helm and punk as this year's theme, Monday's gala is sure to be an impressive fete.
