Yes, Jennifer Lawrence won an Academy Award in February, but on Tuesday, she won another major award!

Down Syndrome of Louisville, Inc., a nonprofit serving Kentucky and Indiana, honored the 22-year-old actress with their first annual Friendship Award at their 2013 Walmart Mint Jubilee. Jennifer's brother, Blaine Lawrence, accepted the award on her behalf, which was presented by family friend Andy Strunk.

Andy, a member of the organization, described the star is "his true friend," and said he can't wait to see her when she comes back to her native Louisville. Blaine said his sister and the family "are honored Jennifer and his family are honored to receive the Down Syndrome of Louisville Friendship award and [are] thankful for the friendship they share with Andy and his family."

Jennifer was unable to attend last night's gala due to a filming conflict. A rep for the organization, however, told E! News she has a long history with Down Syndrome of Louisville, including volunteering at her grandfather and uncle's annual Christmas party for the organization.

It's great to see this golden girl has a heart of gold, too!
