The report that Jennifer Love Hewitt is joining X Factor as a judge is "not true," multiple show sources tell E! News.

Earlier today, US Weekly reported that Simon Cowell is actively pursuing Hewitt for a judge's seat left vacant by Britney Spears (or L.A. Reid). The magazine also reports that Reba McIntyre and Kelly Rowland are also in the running, saying that "Kelly's nearly a done deal," according to their source.

While reps for Hewitt and Rowland have not yet responded to request for comment, a rep for McIntyre tells E! News that Reba "has not been contacted by the show." A show insider confirms there have been no talks.

According to a Fox spokesperson, the US Weekly story is "just speculation. No decisions have been made about the panel. Simon and Demi [Lovato] are the only judges confirmed on the panel so far."

The network also has confirmd that Mario Lopez will return as a judge, while Khloé Kardashian Odom will not. (Her mom-ager Kris Jenner told us earlier this week that's because of scheduling conflicts.)
