Jennifer Cooper, E!
One of the best parts about working for E! is being able to use our global platform to raise awareness and educate people on important issues. That's why I decided to take on the Global Poverty Project's Live Below the Line challenge: to live one day for under $1.50. (Trust me, it's harder than it sounds!)
With all of the glitz and glam I see covering entertainment, it was a real wake-up call to read that 1.4 billion people live in extreme poverty. Do most of us keep those who fall into that less-fortunate statistic in our minds on a daily basis? Well, that's why I wanted to get involved with this organization.
