When Jimmy Fallon takes over for Jay Leno at The Tonight Show in 2014, he'll be going head-to-head with friend Jimmy Kimmel, who tells us he's "not scared" of the new kid on the 11:35 p.m. timeslot block!

Kimmel chatted with E! News' Alicia Quarles at the Time 100 Gala in New York City about his strategy to take on Fallon! Plus, he reveals that viewers may see a change of scenery on Jimmy Kimmel Live soon!

"No, not really. I'm not scared," Kimmel tells us when we asked if he's scared of going up against Fallon. "I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"

And his game plan to make sure he keeps up with (and beats) the competition is simple: "Make sure to be on time every day, try not to offend the guests and try not to get too drunk, I guess!"

And will Kimmel possibly be following Fallon's lead and move his show back to New York? "I would like to," he tells us. "I will...someday!"
