Megan Fox Will Not Return for Transformers 4, Reveals Director Michael Bay

Michael Bay and Megan Fox may have buried the hatchet in their longstanding feud (she likened him to Hitler; he fired her), but that doesn't mean that she'll be romping with robots anytime soon.

Bay delighted fanboys when he announced on his blog that he was bringing Megan "back into the family" with the role of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bestie April O'Neil in the upcoming reboot, which Bay is producing.

But that's as far as their working relationship extends for now. We asked the director at the premiere of his new movie Pain & Gain if, now that the two have reunited, Fox would pop up in Transformers 4 and he was quick to tell us, "No."

NEWS: Of all his movies, Michael Bay wants to apologize for...Armageddon?!

"Because it's a totally different story," Bay continued to explain. "It's with Mark Wahlberg and his daughter."

Though the movie does indeed take place "exactly four years after the war in Chicago" and will focus on new additions Wahlberg (whom Bay was inspired to reteam with after Pain & Gain) and Bates Motel actress Nicola Peltz, Josh Duhamel revealed that Bay was interested in having him return for a cameo.

"[Michael] said he wants to put me in it someplace," Duhamel told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't know if he was just saying that because he had me on the phone and he felt obligated or what..."

It seems, as far as cameos are concerned, though, there isn't room for Bumblebee to ogle Fox's Mikaela again, even for old times' sake. Sorry, Bumblebee! (Original stars like Shia LaBeouf and Fox replacement Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are likewise not expected to return.)

"It's the same [world]," Bay clarified, explaining that 4 will not be a complete reboot. "You have the three movies, but there's a reason why there's a new cast. And it's explained very clearly when you see it, and it's going to feel natural. So it's not like we're starting over or anything like that."

Perhaps it's best that Fox and Bay don't retread old ground anyway. Here's hoping the two fare better when it comes to mutant crime-fighting reptiles than they did with extraterrestrial robots sent to Earth to wreck a bunch of freeways.
