Neil Diamond proved Boston Strong on Saturday, showing up just in time for the Red Sox game with the Kansas City Royals, which was delayed after Boston marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's arrest.
Diamond did his bit to honor the city in the wake of this week's terrorist attack with a rousing rendition of his "Sweet Caroline."
The singer's rep told the Hollywood Reporter that Diamond got on a flight immediately from Los Angeles to Boston after he heard the game would go on. "I was humbled and honored to be in Boston and to be able to personally thank and express my gratitude to the first responders and law enforcement officers," Diamond said through his rep.
The singer's iconic tune has become a staple at Fenway Park, with Boston fans typically belting out the song during the seventh-inning stretch.
After performing the number, Diamond took to Twitter, tweeting a photo along with "In the company of heroes #oneboston."
