Alas, the rumor that had Friends fans jumping for joy yesterday is not true—and Jennifer Aniston has an idea as to who may have been toying with our emotions.

The actress told Ellen DeGeneres today, in an interview airing Thursday on Ellen, that she hadn't even heard about the gang supposedly getting back together until her host broke the news.

"I'm responsible for the entire Friends reunion that's gonna happen," DeGeneres informed her guest (cue the applause from all corners of the audience).

A confused Aniston said, "Well, you're hearing it here first. As am I!" Ellen added, "No, I just heard, before you came out here—like an hour ago—it's all over the internet. There's a big rumor. It started in Oklahoma."

Jen, who was shocked by the news, cut in and said, "Did Matthew Perry start that? Cause he's getting some good airtime on this show. I've been watching."

DeGeneres then revealed that Perry will be guest cohosting her show—and she extended the invitation Aniston's was as well!

Now, all she needs to do is call up Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc and—boom—Friends reunion.

Make it happen, Ellen.
