Britney Spears to Release New Song for Smurfs Sequel

"Toxic" singer has recorded a track for the cartoon flick

Britney Spears has just revealed that she's recorded a new song titled "Ooh La La" for The Smurfs 2 soundtrack.

The 31-year-old singer broke the news to her fans on Twitter this morning.

She tweeted: "Remember that surprise song I recorded for my boys? It's coming soon! #OohLaLa for #TheSmurfs2 :) Stay tuned for more..."

The upcoming single was written and produced by Dr. Luke, who has worked with Spears on numerous hits like "Hold it Against Me" and "Circus."

"I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurf fans EVER," Spears said in statement. "I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they'll think it's Smurftastic!"

Three cheers for Spears, who's about to score major brownie points with her two adorable sons: Jayden James and Sean Preston.

The Smurfs 2 is set to hit the big screen on July 31
