Beauty and the Beast is building toward its sure-to-be epic finale on May 16 and letting everyone in on Vincent's (Jay Ryan) secret in the process!
Now that Catherine's (Kristin Kreuk) partner and BFF Tess (Nina Lisandrello) finally knows the truth, the romantic CW drama will finally have her and J.T. (Austin Basis) meet! Yes, the duo meet up with Catherine in the ladies' locker room to discuss what Vincent is up to (Spoiler alert: It involves Evan!) and we've got an exclusive sneak peek of the sidekicks' snarky first meeting in the episode "Heart of Darkness"!
Of having Tess and Evan (Max Brown) learn Vincent's secret, executive producer Jennifer Levin explains, "We didn't really have a plan for when, it just sort of happened. We had a plan that they would, but we didn't know when. So we always knew that we wanted Tess to find out; we wanted Cat to have a confidant. We also love Tess' energy and thought she would be fun to have in the mix. Evan, it feels like he was on this trail 'cause he's a smart guy, so it felt like eventually he would catch on, it's just how it laid out we didn't plan."
As for Tess' attitude toward the relationship going forward, Levin says fans can expect to see the girls remain tight. "Right now I think she's being a good friend," she says. "She's being a good supportive friend because they have this big issue...of course as it goes there's going to be problems for them to sort out."
Beauty and the Beast airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on the CW.
