Divergent's cast is converging.

Ashley Judd and Tony Goldwyn are the latest stars to come aboard the buzzy movie adaptation of Veronica Roth's blockbuster YA dystopian best seller, which many are pegging as the next youth-driven franchise to ride the momentum of recent hits like The Hunger Games and the now-wrapped-up Twilight saga.

They'll join a burgeoning, top-tier cast that includes Kate Winslet and Shailene Woodley.

Judd's rep confirms to E! News that the actress is set to join the film, which is the first in a planned trilogy. She'll reportedly play Natalie Prior, the mother of Woodley's character, Tris—the saga's heroine.

Meanwhile, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the flick, announced Monday that Scandal star Goldwyn will play Andrew Prior, Tris' father.

Expectations are running high for Divergent, which tells the story of a post-apocalyptic reality in which five factions rule of the spoils of humanity.

It's set to begin shooting this month in Chicago and arrives in theaters March 21, 2014.
