Kevin Mazur/WireImageAubrey Plaza's little stunt at the MTV Movie Awards easily reminded some folks of Kanye West's infamous interruption of Taylor Swift. Including Plaza herself, apparently.
"Thanks for the advice @kanyewest went better than planned!" the Parks and Recreation star tweeted a few hours later.
So, was it actually Plaza's intent all along to crash the stage on Sunday night to try and take Will Ferrell's Golden Popcorn prize after he won the Comedic Genius Award?
Time will tell, of course, if it was all scripted or not.
Regardless, MTV producers were none too happy with what went down. E! News confirmed that Plaza was subsequently asked to leave in the wake of the memorable incident.
