Every fashionista owns a few signature items: a slimming LBD, a sexy pair of stilettos, and of course, a marvelous shade of can't-live-without-it lipstick.
In the case of Carolina Herrera, absolutely nothing compared to Bobbi Brown's Plum Stain sheer lip color, a flattering hue that looked perfectly pretty from day to night.
So imagine her dismay upon discovering that after 20 years of loyal lipstick-wearing, the brand was discontinuing the shade!
"When I heard about the news that it was going to be discontinued, I sent, I don't know how many people, all over the country to buy anything they had in any store," she told WWD.
We can only imagine the panic!
But luckily for Herrera, Bobbi isn't one to leave a fellow industry veteran high and dry. Not only did she make custom tubes just for the designer when her supply dwindled down, but she has since rereleased the rosy plum shade and even renamed it Carolina in honor of the elegant icon.
