Watch: VP Biden Calls Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Julia Louis-Dreyfus now knows who to call if she ever needs advice about playing the vice president on Veep.

We're talking about current Vice President Joe Biden.

"Joe Biden called and left me a message on my voicemail; unfortunately, I wasn't there to take the call,"  dishes the 52-year-old actress to E! News last night at Veep's second season premiere. "But he couldn't have been nicer and very generous and congratulated me on getting an Emmy and apologized because he hadn't called sooner. Can you imagine?"

But Biden shouldn't worry that Louis-Dreyfus is hankering for his job.

"We're not trying to make a particular point, be it a feminist point or a political point. But what I'm trying to say is, it's fun to tap into feelings of frustration."

Considering his long years in politics, we imagine it's a feeling Mr. Biden has some familiarity with.
