Avril Lavigne's new single "Here's to Never Growing Up" isn't all she's celebrating these days: The singer is also engaged to Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, and the couple could not be happier.

So, of course, the 28-year-old pop star brought her fiancé (and massive diamond engagement ring) to Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning where the lovebirds discussed their wedding plans and the Nickelback frontman's "romantic proposal" after Avril officially debuted her new track.

"We met in the studio," the "Complicated" singer said of her man. "Wrote a bunch of songs together, became really good friends, and now we have a wedding coming up soon!"

Although Avril stayed mum on any wedding day specifics, she did admit they are "planning it" and "there is a theme," before Chad chimed into to joke how he's leaving the preparation up to his wife, "Every man knows we get very little participation in the wedding and these are good things—or else [heavy metal band] Steel Panther ends up playing."

Despite Kroeger's wedding quip, he's clearly head over heels for his future wife, and he gushed to Ryan as he explained how their relationship progressed from friends to lovers:

"I think it evolved into this wonderful thing," he explained. "When you're sitting there, singing across from somebody into the microphone and singing love songs and you start developing these feelings for that person, and it just blossomed into this thing and last summer we started dating and I didn't take long, I got down on one knee."

So, how did the proposal go down after just one month of dating?

"He proposed in the studio," Avril shared. "I have been making this scrapbook of my time in the studio with a Polaroid camera and the only thing that was weird was I walked into the studio and he was putting a picture in to the book and I was like ‘What is he doing?'…And all of a sudden I walk over and he had taken a photo of himself holding the ring box and put the Polaroid in my scrapbook and because I had stickers everywhere he put in ‘Will you marry me?' It was really romantic."

A super sweet proposal and 14-carat rock? You're a lucky gal, Lavigne.
