Aspiring Glee stars, you might have to start trying to get on the hit Fox show the old-fashioned way.

While there are reports that Oxygen has reportedly canceled its reality series The Glee Project after only two seasons, it's not clear yet that this is the case. "What TV Line reported was speculation," a spokesperson for the network tells E! News."The Glee Project has not been canceled."

In addition to Oxygen's denial, sources tell us that no decision has been made about the future of the show.

The Glee Project was responsible for getting the likes of Damian McGinty, Samuel Larsen, Blake Jenner and Alex Newell onto Glee with recurring or guest roles.

If The Glee Project is canceled, it will most likely be due to the show's less-than-impressive ratings for Oxygen (the season two finale garnered a modest 821,000 viewers) and the fact that Glee hasn't even been officially renewed for a fifth season yet. By this time last year, The Glee Project was already getting started on season two.

Glee stars such as Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss and more all made appearances as guest mentors on the show.

TVLine.com first reported news of the reality series' cancelation.

Are you upset about the cancelation? Or do you think Glee should stick to storyline involving the people already on the show?
