Last night's Academy of Country Music Awards drew the show's largest numbers since 1988—15.4 million viewers to be exact—so there were definitely a lot of eyes on the country cuties who hit the red carpet.

Unfortunately, that was bad news for certain singers who hit low notes when it came to their ACM style.

Normally a best dressed list staple, Carrie Underwood disappointed us this year with a Naeem Khan dress that felt a little overwhelming due to its in-your-face oversize floral pattern, while Shania Twain's tiered strapless number paired with over-the-knee boots made for a bizarre—and unflattering—combo.

And while we expected cowboy boots to dominate the show's fashions, it was frothy tutu skirts that emerged as an unexpected costumey trend this year. Former Voice contestant RaeLynn channeled an ice-skater in a tulle skirt and reached for some of the oddest accessories of the night, tucking a tropical-looking flower behind her ear and adding a rustic touch with studded cowboy ankle boots.

But it was Mustang Sally's Tobi Lee who had the most distracting look of the evening with a dress featuring a sequined animal-print bustier and a three-tiered skirt that added volume to all the wrong places.

Do you think these stars missed the mark with the mark with their ACM style?
