Word just broke that Katey Sagal (Married...With Children and Sons of Anarchy) has been cast on Fox's Glee for the current season.
"So thrilled to announce my friend Katey Sagal is playing Artie's mom on Glee! There is nothing this woman can't do!" big boss Ryan Murphy wrote late Thursday.
McHale (Artie) responded via Twitter with a simple "Wooo!"
McHale mentioned months ago at Comic-Con he was hoping that Sagal would play his mom and Harry Connick Jr. would play his dad. Kinda perfect, no? The news of who (if anyone) will play Artie's dad has not yet been broken.
A source says Sagal is so far scheduled to appear in just one episode, episode 421, "Wonder-ful," which is, rather aptly, the Stevie Wonder-themed ep.
