Count Drew Barrymore among those who thinks Jimmy Fallon is the perfect choice to take over The Tonight Show next year.

The actress exclusively told E! News today at Lucky magazine's FABB Conference in L.A. that she sent her Fever Pitch costar flowers this morning along with "the most loving card in the world" after the official announcement was made that he would be replacing Jay Leno next year.

"He has remained always classy through whatever goes on in late night," Barrymore said of Fallon, who also happens to be married to her producing partner, Nancy Juvonen.

Further explaining why he totally deserves the earlier time slot, Barrymore raved about how her friend "has been so quintessentially authentic to himself" throughout his run as host of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

"And I think he has been so innovative with making viral videos, having people come on and play games. It's fun for the guest and it's fun to watch," she added. "He's really done it on his own terms and done it brilliantly. So I was like, 'Yeah, I knew that was going to happen.'"

"I'm just so happy," she added. "And I'm so glad that everyone's so happy for him."
