Shain Gandee, a castmember on MTV's reality series Buckwild, was found dead Monday morning in a vehicle in Sissonville, W. Va.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department tells E! News that 21-year-old Gandee, his uncle David Gandee and a third person were discovered by a passer-by on a four-wheeler. A source tells E! News that the third person found was Robert Myers, a friend of the family.

Per local ABC affiliate WCHS, family members and emergency personnel on the scene confirmed their deaths.

The tragic news comes after police put out an APB on the reality star and his 48-year-old uncle at the behest of relatives after they were last seen around 3 a.m. Sunday at a local bar.

According to authorities, the pair had told people they were going four-wheeling in Shain's Ford Bronco, but it's unclear where they were headed. After failing to turn up on Sunday, the family reported them missing.

MTV issued a statement to E! News mourning the loss of its star and expressing sympathy to his family.

"We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident," said the network. "We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly."

Gandee's death is the latest in a salvo of bad news to befall Buckwild, coming on the heels of costar Salwa Amin's arrest on drug possession charges and Michael "Bluefoot" Burford's bust on suspicion of DUI.
