Hollywood's getting ready to zip back to the roaring '20s.
New character posters have now been released for The Great Gatsby, Baz Luhrmann's buzzworthy big-screen version of the famed F. Scott Fitzgerald novel.
And its stars—Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire—are more than ready for their close-up, evident in these striking one-sheets that highlight the film's Art Deco flavor while maxing out its cast's thrumming star power.
The film is set to make a splashy arrival: It'll open the Cannes Film Festival on May 15—five days after it actually hits theaters stateside.
Although the fest isn't usually prone to screening films after they've been released in theaters, it's apparently making a rare exception for Gatsby, which will only be the second 3-D film to be shown at Cannes (following Up in 2009).
Then again, with the film's stars expected to descend on the Croisette for what will surely be a pull-out-all-the-stops premiere, it looks like Cannes itself has also gotten caught up in Jazz Age fever.
