Sunning herself while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, this week, Kate Beckinsale looked positively perfect in a white hot bandeau bikini.

The 39-year-old mother showed off an impressively toned midsection and a gorgeous, long, lean body that inspired us to get serious about swimsuit season ourselves.

We tapped her trainer, Mandy Ingber (who also keeps Jennifer Aniston in tip-top shape and whose book, Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover, hits shelves next month) to get the inside scoop on Beckinsale's fitness plan.

Here's what she told us:

1. Yoga Does a Body Good: Ingber tells us that Kate practices yoga daily, focusing on balance moves for improved core strength. Key poses like the crow, dancer's pose and boat activates tinier muscle groups which reshapes and defines her entire body.

"She has a naturally beautiful body, so yoga really keeps her toned and trim, highlighting her shape. She is very in tuned into her body," she tells us.

She also hikes and walks the treadmill consistently for light cardio.

2. Keep a Schedule: Ingber works out with Kate daily, no matter what. "If she is on vacation, we schedule Skype sessions, or she uses my Yogalosophy DVD.When she works, I travel with her and work around her schedule. Being committed is key," she explains.

3. Eat Clean: The fitness expert tells us that Kate sticks to a super clean diet of plenty of veggies and chicken, while avoiding caffeine, processed grains and sugar. Her go-to snack? Protein-rich nuts!
